FAERYVILLE, a dystopian teen movie by underground filmmaker Tzang Merwyn Tong, will make its Red Carpet World Premiere in Los Angeles, California in early 2015. Official Trailer to be released on 9 November 2014.
Faeryville is described as a coming-of-age film about a group of teenage misfits who are often bullied, and how they struggle to find themselves in an increasingly surreal world. The film has been picked up for international sales by Eleven Arts, an American film production and distribution company based in Los Angeles.
Tzang Merwyn Tong, an Independent Filmmaker from Singapore has made 3 award winning underground films, e'Tzaintes (2013), A Wicked Tale (2005) and V1K1: A Techno Fairytale (2010). A Wicked Tale which as a psycho-erotic re-imagination of the Little Red Riding Hood, premiered to critical acclaim and sold out theatres at the 2005 Rotterdam International Film Festival and was the Closing Night film of Montreal Fantasia 2005. Being the youngest Singapore filmmaker to ever release his films on DVD, Tzang is noted for films characterised by odd ball themes, often set in surreal alternate realities. VIP magazine (by Playboy) named Tong as one of the top 7 Singapore Iconoclasts to watch out for.
